Public and Guest Visitors: Like most websites, WA collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Witch Academy’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how our visitors use the website and to improve your experience and accessibility.
Logged in Visitors (Registered Users, Enrolled Students, Members): WA also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users. WA only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below.
Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information
Logged in Visitors to Witch Academy’s websites choose to interact with the website in ways that require us to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that WA gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, enrolled students must provide a username and email address. When you enroll, we collect your shipping and billing address. Other areas of site registration may collect information such as your areas of interest to improve the website and future curriculum, and online and print publications.
All data is encrypted and transferred through SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). SSL is a standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between WitchAcademy’s website and your device’s browser. This is the same technology used for most email servers. No credit card payment information is ever stored on WA. The security of your Personal Information is very important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
